Helicopter Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Coast
An aircraft flying near a crowded southern California coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Recordings shared online show the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then plunging near the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters reported five persons were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
